Theme / Layout History

This layout appealed to most of Artistique-Ilustra's visitors for its bright, cheery colors & for its focus on interactivity. All of my character designs are featured on the layout.

I get a lot of emails requesting for it to be put back up. I'm considering converting it into a Wordpress theme like the other past layouts.

This template is an attempt to put Artistique-Ilustra back to where it started from - as an art portfolio. It focuses on artwork & aims to give the website a more professional & organized look by limiting its color palette & using lesser graphic elements.

I tired of the limited colors! So, I put the colors back up - not too bright but cheerful as most of the previous looks.

The main objective for this look is to make all inbound links visible sitewide & groupe them as neatly as possible. I guess I focused on the categorizing more than on the design itself. This only lasted a few days online. This was the worst template I've ever come up with.

I planned on merely improving the previous theme but I came up w/ an entirely different character (inspired by the pixel design of Angela Zanin), though she still has wings & is positioned as the heart of this layout.

For this layout, I wanted to show off the colors so I chose to plot the main graphic elements on a dark background to create contrast.

I kept the numerous inbound links within separate pages. Putting them all out into the open was not such a good idea after all. They appeared cluttery.

I made slight changes on the sidebar & footer area after a few months to make the site more navigable & search engine friendly.

A simple but effective layout! It uses lesser graphic elements but still draws a viewer's attention. With this new theme, Artistique-Ilustra has departed from the look of "cutesy" to that of "professional".
