I received a copy of one of Yoshitaka Amano’s art-books, which I purchased on eBay. It comes with a slip-on box instead of the common dust-cover. The color scheme of the book design is very graphic – all solid bold colors against black and white, which perfectly complement Amano’s gorgeous artwork. The pages are stitched together – not glued – now that’s quality book binding!
I am a great admirer of Mr. Amano’s work , especially those he created for the Vampire Hunter D series. I like how his images are altogether mysterious, graceful and romantic. It is as if his art is that of dark, hidden Fairy Tales from long ago , that have been rediscovered. I hope to meet him someday and get his autograph !

I’m glad the rain has finally let up over here. I hope it’s been the same for you too! I’ve never actually been big on manga and that sort of scheme of art but I’m glad you found something you thoroughly enjoy! I hope you get his autograph one day too!
