It’s nearly Christmas & I have yet to do the shopping . Shopping has always been serious & exciting business for me but not this time. I’ve had numerous opportunities to buy presents but I’m just out of it . I can’t get myself into the spirit of things. I’m not feeling it .
I don’t feel Christmas-y (i.e. warm & fuzzy inside) & the thought of putting up a Christmas tree has not crossed my mind. God forbid that I accidentally step under a mistletoe. I’d probably end up gauging the eyes out of whomever I’ll be caught under it with . Rawr.
Oh, pardon me for being Grinch-y but that’s how I feel about things for now. Yaaargh, it’s not like I’m requiring myself to be this way. Hopefully, I’ll get over this.
No worries, there’s still two weeks to go before Christmas. I’m sure you’ll get that Christmas feeling one of these days. Afterall, the carolers have felt it already. HAHA.
I can identify, because the Christmas spirit hasn’t hit me yet. I don’t know if it’s my finals, or the fact that I’m not home, but somehow, I don’t think this Christmas is as good as prior years…
i usually don’t do giftmas shopping until the last minute.. my parents haven’t even put up their tree yet… i wonder if it’s cause of the weather.. it’s so non-giftmasy right now where i live. it’s weird and warm and we should have snow right now. i don’t feel like it’s giftmas season at all
I’ll do all my Christmas shopping and stuff when break starts. Apparently to teachers, winter break is a good time to hand out more homework over the weekend.
Also, where I live, it never feels like winter since there’s rarely snow, so I know what you mean.
Ohhh I am so the opposite, I’ve done all Christmas shopping and put up the tree and decorations! I get a little over excited when it comes to Christmas but everyone is different.
Like you, I still haven’t shopped for gifts. As a matter of fact, I’m broke right now so I can’t buy anything. Plus, I’m not sure what to give to my parents and siblings.
Honestly… it seems like the “magic” of Christmas really fades over time. However, I find it does come back once in a while… it is hard to find it but once you do, try to decipher how and why you found what is so special about the season… I hope you had a good one however. Best wishes for 2009! Time really flies!
The Christmas rush always makes some people grinch-y. I can understand that, coz some shoppers are just nasty, takes something off your hand literally!
Im glad Christmas and the holidays in general are over. people act so stupidly in the stores over last minute items =\ But, i do love the holidays..just not the shopping aspect of it LOL
