I’ve just updated my Wordpress to version 2.5 & I must say that I was very much impressed at first. So much has changed & I was oooh-ing & aaah-ing as I logged in to the control panel. Who knew that I was about to be led down to the deep dark tunnel of disappointment 
- I can’t upload images 
to go with my posts! The upload would begin & the progress bar shows but an error occurs 
. I’m sooo visual so more often than not, I’ve got images in my posts & now… Haaargh 
!
Help me.

What?! It doesn’t allow you to upload? -__- Have you tried searching around, maybe other people have that problem too. I haven’t updated my WP in ages, it’s still version 2.2.1, apparently XD , I’ll just wait till I have the time and willingness to upgrade. 
Hope the problem gets solved, though… Or maybe you can upload the pics elsewhere for now.

Wow it’s been a long time. I’ve stopped messing around with WordPress a while back. I’m slowly getting back into it. My brother’s fiance has asked me to create them a simple site for their wedding. I lean towards more the functionality side rather than the design. We’ll see how that goes.
Anyhow, what brought me by was another event that occurred regarding distant relatives. I have an ailing aunt and cousin in the PI. My mom would like to send some money to help out. Then I remembered your posting regarding paypal. I have a paypal account and I’m in the process of getting it set at the other end. Perhaps you can add a follow-up post. My issue now is the fact that I’m trying to get a hold of relatives abroad. Perhaps you can propose some solutions for distant communications. I’ve heard of products such as skype. I’m currently testing out jaxtr. The concepts are great would be beneficial to anyone in my situation. Jaxtr makes local calls and uses the internet to make international calls and a local call at the receiving end. Confusing? Pretty much a long distance call is a local call. Plus it’s free.
I just want to say thanks for your initial post regarding paypal. I didn’t think I’d take this route or would be in a situation to recall something I read to be an effective solution.

That sounds really frustrating! I suppose that’s why I just quit upgrading WP. Each time something majorly changes and then your site just doesn’t work the same way it used to, so it’s almost forcing you to revamp everything. Not fun. Hope you get things working the way you want them to soon.

I updated my WordPress too but I didn’t like the admin panel so I’m using the Fluency Admin plugin.
I haven’t tried uploading photos with my posts yet. I’ll try it soon and see if I come up with the same problem… gaaaah!
