Yesterday was Good Friday. To remember Jesus’ mortal sacrifice on the cross, we Christians, "give something up". For myself, I chose to give up the use of my PC & the internet . I’m only too proud to say that I’ve been successful in that venture .
The whole day, I’d been reading & drawing. The "Sea Creature" I’ve been stuck on is now a completed drawing . After which, I had enough ideas reserved for another drawing, which I call "Cyber Woman"!
These subjects, Sea Creature & Cyber Woman are inspired by manga trends. I admire manga artists for their innovativeness in character creation technique . I came up w/ my originals:
Oh, I didn’t know that about Good Friday… I only knew that it’s the day Jesus died, and that my friend had to go to church yesterday. ^^ Congrats on your no-PC-and-internet, though! Love the drawings as well.
I didn’t know that either but I suppose I chose to go on a diet on the same day you gave up the internet. I guess that is a sacrafice to only eat fruits and vegetables not what I really want like a huge bowl of macaroni and cheese.
Haha, I had a friend who tried to give up Facebook and Myspace for Lent. Didn’t work out so well, so I have to commend you for giving up internet for a day. I’d probably go crazy without going online at least once =)
Congratulations on being able to stick with giving up the PC and internet, a lot of people wouldn’t be able to give something that big up. Congratulations!
