I’ve been sick for days! Credit goes to garlic salsa, preceded by a gargantuan chocolate cake at Chili’s last Friday. Not a good combination 
. But then I’ve never been known to have a tender stomach so I didn’t expect such a reaction.
Let me recount the most horrid after-splurge experience of my life 
…
I wiped 2 platters clean plus a whole chocolate cake last Friday. Truthfully, the spread was fit for 3 people 
(not unusual - I usually overindulge on food during weekends as I’m on diet Mondays to Fridays). I have an enormous appetite when “unsuppressed” 
.
I got home, slathered a gunk of garlic salsa (the stuff smelled funky but I had some anyway) on toast then I got some shut-eye.
I woke up at about 3am, sat bolt upright & ran to the kitchen. I threw up! Waking up, & vomiting happened about 11 times (or more? I lost count) simultaneously & I was able to get back to sleep at 9am Saturday.
URGH…
I woke up later in the afternoon & when I stood up, I saw black spots running across my vision. I put my hand to my temple & felt a temperature. I grabbed an ice pack from the fridge, positioned it on my head, & went back to sleep 
.
Thank goodness, Andykins took care of me the whole time. I was absent from work for 3 days. I missed gym for a week & I lost 2lbs - 
NOT GOOD.
I’m okay now, & I swear off garlic salsa por vida! Just this morning, I caught a whiff of it as I opened the fridge & 
I felt like throwing up all over again! But I steeled myself & managed to just throw it straight into the bin.
I can’t make out what the moral lesson should have been but yeah! I’m giving up garlic salsa forever but nothing can make me give up weekend food fests !
