Princess Maker 2
Princess Maker 2 was & still is a popular DOS Game made by Gainax & Soft Egg. The game genre of Princess Maker 2 is a mix of RPG (Role Playing Game) & Simulation.
In this game, you play an adoptive father to a heaven-born child entrusted to you by one of the gods/dieties from the heavens (which god/diety depends on your daughter's birthday, which you get to pick at the beginning of the game). The object of the game is to rear your child properly & w/ the utmost care so she will grow up to be someone of notable position (princess or queen) when she turns 18, thus the title, Princess Maker.
You are equipped w/ a butler, Cube, who gives you random tips during the game. Cube can be very useful, he may: give your daughter a change of clothes to fit the current climate, take care of your daughter if she catches fever.
Your little princess can explore several areas in the game. You can take her to town, where you can purchase for her: dresses, toys, food, weapons, armor, etc.
She can also visit the palace & speak w/ people residing there to test & increase her social skills!
Your daughter has to undergo training - to increase her skills in various fields (social, magical, fighter, cooking, etc). You can send your daughter to go to work in a number of institutions - in this screenshot, she is working at a beauty salon!
You can send your daughter to school to study magic, decorum, religion, combat, fencing, arts, dancing, etc. In this screenshot, she is studying magic.
You can go on vacation w/ your daughter to the mountains or the sea.
In the middle of the year, the Harvest Festival happens. This is the perfect occasion for your daughter to show-off the skills she's learned at school & work. You can choose for your daughter to compete in 4 different contests (cooking, painting, dance & fighting). In this screenshot, she competes in a cooking contest.

The game has several random occurences:
- A god/diety may appear;
- You may get caught in a street fight;
- A suitor may even drop by to give gifts or ask for your daughter's hand in marriage;
- A fairy or some other heavenly being may pop-out;
- A fortune teller may ask to read your daughter's fortune;
- A travelling merchant may come by.
The outcome of these occurences may lead to your daughter's popularity or decline in reputation.
Collect as many items throughout the game - outfits, trinkets, curios, etc.! All items have little to much beneficial properties for your princess.
To conclude, Princess Maker 2 is an overall exciting game, which you would most likely include in your list of unforgettable & favorite games!
Download Princess Maker 2 (7.75 MB)! Just unzip the downloaded folder & double-click on "pm2.exe" - the game should run properly. If the game runs without any sound, you will have to download DOS Box to run Princess Maker 2 properly.
